REKAYU is a social enterprise that does much more than provide space to do woodwork. The organization teaches valuable vocational, entrepreneurial and life skills to at-risk, low-income and disadvantaged youth. Post COVID-19 pandemic on Marginalized Urban Youth Communities are still struggling to enter the workforce, facing job loss due to lack of adequate employment, possibly due to business closures and stagnant economic activities. We determined that one solution to these problems is to make vocational training skills available and thus offer these individuals a way to support themselves, so we began providing this skill training. Our goal in providing practical carpentry skills to urban youth living in low cost housing in PA Hang Tuah, Seri Sarawak and Seri Selangor, ex-convicts and street children was to empower them with the lifetime ability for socioeconomic development.
We are looking 20 youth age 18 to 35 to join us for FREE and get the PowerDrill
