"The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go." —Dr. Seuss
What's the mission about?
We are a non-profit social enterprise that aims to help all children learn to read, regardless of their socio-economic background. Join us to help realise this dream!
Teach For Free: GMI CSR Project @ SK Sri Delima is an English literacy intervention programme that we are supporting together with dedicated volunteers from the German-Malaysian Institute and English teachers of SK Sri Delima. The aim is to accelerate the reading growth of 35 students coming from disadvantaged communities from PPR Pekan Batu that is opposite the school.
This is the second year this programme is being run at the school and we are encouraged by the dedication of the teachers and volunteers. The teachers have seen how much their students who joined last year improve in their reading and comprehension skills and therefore decided to recruit more students this year.
We are seeking for more passionate and dedicated volunteers to build confidence in the students' reading skills and instill a love of learning in them!
How should I get started?
Join us for an hour on Saturdays from 10AM - 11AM at SK Sri Delima, and your journey to helping a child master the foundations of reading begins then!
Training to become a literacy superhero will be provided!
If you are interested to volunteer, click here to join our volunteers Whatsapp group to keep up with the updates. You may contact the teacher-in-charge Miss Tan at 016-5921672 for more information.
