What is Pathfinders?
Pathfinders is a movement that aims to seek and actualise the potential in marginalised communities such as the Orang Asli. We support these communities in achieving their aspirations through identifying actionable opportunities and growing community partnerships.
Through understanding someone's aspirations and struggles, we can best find ways to mutually support each other. Join us on our journey to better inform the world and its decisions to build a more co-operative and resilient future for all.
Why go Pathfinding?
We believe that everyone in the world wants to do good. We volunteer and donate, hoping that our small contributions can make an impact.
However, sometimes our well intended actions can have negative impacts as we often assume what people need. At Pathfinders, we strive to help communities by identifying their needs and connecting them to support networks.
Knowing the needs of a community is the important first step to really helping.
Purpose of the Workshop
In order to participate in our Pathfinding missions, one must attend a Pathfinders workshop first. Everyone is welcome to join - we will equip you with the necessary community engagement skills and be there for you every step of your Pathfinding journey.
When and Where?
We will be conducting the workshop on 8th March 2019 (Friday) from 8pm-10pm at The Compass.
What next?
After attending the workshop, you are eligible to attend our Pathfinding missions. Our next Pathfinding mission will take place at Kampung Putra on 9th March 2019.
We aim to help bridge communities by equipping individuals with community engagement skills.
