5 June 2021 from 10.00 am-12.30 pm on Zoom! We will send you a link to the Zoom call before the Volunteer Training Workshop.
HOW MUCH?
Fee of RM 60. This includes a copy of MYReaders Workbook & delivery within Malaysia. The workbook will be used during training and for classes.
WHY?
Literacy Hub started in December 2018 amongst the Kerinchi community. We are calling out for passionate individuals who would like to be part of this initiative by spending your Saturday morning reading with a child from the communities of Lembah Pantai and Raya Permai.
Literacy can be a daunting social challenge to resolve with plenty of technicalities to the solution. Come be equipped with the know-hows at our training workshop for new volunteers joining Literacy Hub. We will share tips and techniques on how to coach reading effectively, and throw in some fun and incorporate values education in the process!
We believe that everyone has the potential to positively impact a child's life by simply teaching them how to read. This is something that everyone can contribute to, and we want to ensure that our volunteers are sufficiently empowered with the skills and mindsets when reading with a child. Your journey to helping a child master the foundations of reading begins here!

It was a great training session to gather with like-minded and amazing volunteers that aim to work together for a good cause. The organizers gave a concise explanation about the materials and teaching process to all of us. They were really welcoming and warm with the volunteers from different ages and backgrounds.
