Become a Literacy Champion in our Volunteer Training Workshop!

This workshop is sponsored under the UNICEF EPIC Community Partnership. Participants are required to bear the delivery cost of MYReaders Workbooks to the provided mailing addresses (within Malaysia only). Registration closes on 10 January 2021, or when all spaces are filled.

WHO?

Join our training workshop if you are interested to volunteer at the Kerinchi Literacy Hub that has begun since December 2018.

WHEN and WHERE?

16 January 2021 from 10.00 am-12.30 pm on Zoom! We will send you a link to the Zoom call a day before the Volunteer Training Workshop.

WHY?

Kerinchi Literacy Hub started in December 2018. We are calling out for passionate individuals who would like to be part of this initiative by spending your Saturday morning reading with a child from the underprivileged community in Kerinchi (over WhatsApp until further notified).

Literacy can be a daunting social challenge to resolve with plenty of technicalities to the solution. Come be equipped with the know-hows at our training workshop for new volunteers joining the Kerinchi Literacy Hub. We will share tips and techniques on how to coach reading effectively, and throw in some fun and incorporate values education in the process!

We believe that everyone has the potential to positively impact a child's life by simply teaching them how to read. This is something that everyone can contribute to, and we want to ensure that our volunteers are sufficiently empowered with the skills and mindsets when reading with a child. Your journey to helping a child master the foundations of reading begins here!
