What is Connect The Dots?

A platform to meet creative minds from various Intellectual Developmental Disability (IDD) organisations to discover and tackle current issues. Take home new ideas, connections, insights and inspiration to enhance the impact of your initiatives and projects.

The 3-hours event involved organisations representatives, who discussed and shared about the challenges and opportunities within our cause. While we explored and brainstormed how we can help create an inclusive environment for the IDD community.

Representatives from IDD organisations had a chance to network with like-minded individuals while enjoying a unique dining experience at Autism Café, SACC Mall.

Who Made This Possible

What has been accomplished

• Expansion of network and resources while exploring collaboration opportunities between established IDD efforts and WAF.
• Connect and cultivate new relationships among various established and new IDD organizations and programmes which will further benefit all parties mutually in terms of knowledge exchange, ideation, support and execution.
• Exchange ideas and initiatives to achieve greater impact in terms of creating an inclusive environment for the IDD community.

Final Words

WAF thanks Oasis Place, Best Buddies Malaysia, IDEAS Autism Centre and Challenges Foundation for attending our first networking event, Connect The Dots. Special thanks to Autism Cafe Project for accommodating us and being apart of it too, with everyone sharing their inspiring and motivating stories. It was a truly insightful session for members of WAF and our Youth Beyond Boundaries (YBB) friends from UCSI Campus & Community (UCC) and MindFlu.
