Tutoring Disadvantaged Children

We are looking for committed volunteers to maintain and enhance the quality of our work and the impact of our program.

In order to become an academic mentor we require the following commitments from tutors:

• Commitment to a minimum of 6 sessions (at least 2 per month for at least 3 consecutive months).
• Availability from 1.30 pm to 6 pm for Sunday tuition (briefing session, one hour break and refreshments provided for free).
• It is also preferable for volunteers to have the ability to communicate with and build rapport with the children in Malay.     

Please be aware that PT Foundation does not provide any financial allowance or other compensations for volunteers, except for a free refreshment during tuition.However, upon successful completion of the volunteering, a certificate of participation could be awarded to volunteers.

If you are willing to commit and accept these conditions you would be required to attend an informal interview with the 2nd Chance volunteer coordinator first and eventually sign a volunteer agreement.
