The Women's March Malaysia (WMMY) takes place every year on International Women's Day (March 8th), and has been running since 2017. Our aim is to bring people from all walks of life together to collectively demand for the rights of all women and other people of marginalised genders in Malaysia.
WMMY believes in intersectional feminism, LGBTQIA+ feminism, feminism that decries genocide and fights for the liberation of all oppressed peoples across the world. These beliefs are represented in our demands, which we call upon the Malaysian government and other powerful stakeholders to recognise and act upon.
