About
The Salvation Army was established in Malaysia in 1938. We are a nonprofit organisation that is in the business of transforming lives by providing care for the vulnerable and needy.
Our work includes providing residential care for children and the elderly, educational programmes through our kindergartens and day care centres, special programmes for people with special needs and various social programmes through our community service centres. Our efforts also include emergency relief services in times of crisis. Our social enterprise arm, Red Shield Industries (RSI) looks into efforts to reuse and recycle donations in-kind from the public. RSI processes all donations in-kind and retails them at The Salvation Army's Family Thrift Stores located in Petaling Jaya, Melaka, Ipoh, Penang and Kuching.
All donations and income generated by The Salvation Army go towards supporting our mission to provide holistic care to underprivileged Malaysians in our community. To find out more about our work, visit www.salvationarmy.org/malaysia, email us at [email protected] or call us at 03-80614929 .
