My Soul Stitching is the brain-and-heartchild of Ng Mei Theng, a HER2-positive breast cancer survivor as a social enterprise idea. My Soul Stitching will guide and support breast cancer patients (and their caregivers) to begin their self-compassion journey for improved mental health in stitch-a-long workshops to make emotional lap blanket by loom knitting and mindfulness mandala by crochet, and to make knitted knockers and chemo beanies for donation. My Soul Stitching will also distribute the knitted knockers and chemo beanies to other breast cancer patients by collaborating with breast cancer-related clinics and organizations to build awareness on these commercially-unavailable but important items for one's breast cancer journey. This act of common humanity aims to reduce fear of a breast cancer diagnosis among women. Additionally, My Soul Stitching will source and import appropriate yarns to Malaysia to suit the intended recipients.

My Soul Stitching will be registered as a social enterprise as soon as Kementerian Pembangunan Usahawan dan Koperasi (MEDAC) reopens the application process for Social Enterprise Accreditation. Mei Theng has just recently completed and received her certificate in Kursus Asas Keusahawanan Social organised by Institut Keusahawanan Negara Berhad (INSKEN).
