First Steps for Wildlife (FSW) is a student organisation which aims to develop a sense of environmentalism and volunteerism amongst the Malaysian student community. We as the committee have witnessed the difficulty of wildlife conservation and its challenges and we as FSW would like to raise awareness about this issue through our events such as our Summer Conservation Trip, our Fundraising Challenge, IG themed days and etc. We hope that through our events and community-based Instagram that we will develop a community where like-minded individuals can come together and feel inspired to start something bigger. One of the main reasons we started FSW was because of the lack of opportunities we saw for wildlife conservation/ environmentalism in the Malaysian student community specifically in the UK as that is where most of us study. Hopefully with FSW, students will have an avenue to express their passions while doing something good.
