I get to learn basic carpentry skills & learn to use a few types of equipment. We were assigned to work in groups so it is easier to learn.

I like the module that was arranged, but there is a number of people in a group, everyone has only can experience a short time to learn, coz everyone has to take a turn. overall was a great experience! but has no chance to practice it yet.

I went for the EC session and it was eye opening to know how much goes into being a good EC. I hope to have opportunities to join a build as an EC soon.

The scaffolding experience was good. I have a tonne of fresh respect for construction site workers high up in the air.

I thoroughly enjoyed the EPIC Basic Builder Workshop! Everything was explained in detail and everyone enjoyed a hands-on session of learning different power tools and building techniques. My group's facilitator was Matt, who did a great job of guiding us through the different sections of the workshop. I would definitely recommend anyone interested in creating a positive impact on the community to sign up with Sedunia for future projects.

By Adam Malik. Attended Basic Builders Workshop on 20th July 2019. Overall, it was a very good experience learning about the basic building blocks of construction - from identifying and handling tools and equipments for basic building to setting up scaffolding for 1 to 2 storey construction. yep definitely the place to go if you want an introductory course about DIY stuff. but the people that is involve is definitely the highlight of the workshop. 10/10 recommend anyone who have the time and is interested in getting into it. :)

The workshop taught us to identify the tools, equipment and materials used for basic building and the correct way of handling tools and materials with safety in mind. And also how to put up and dismantle a scaffolding plus getting up and down safely. It was fun to work together with the team to make a stool with creativity thrown in. Thank you to the facilitators
