About
Childline Malaysia is a national non-profit public safety project to create a national 24-hour phone service for children under 18 years who are in need of information, care and protection. The move to create this service was initiated by a group of concerned citizens under the auspices of Malaysian Children TV Programme Foundation (MCTF) who believed that children needed a dedicated helpline whom they could reach out to for help.
It brings together non-governmental and private sector organizations in partnership with government agencies such as the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (MWFCD), the Social Welfare Department Malaysia (JKMM), UNICEF Malaysia, MCTF and Child Helpline International (CHI).
